Summary
“The Address” is a story about a girl who visits a house after many years of war.
Before the war, her family had given their belongings to a woman named Mrs. Dorling for safety. After the war, the girl goes to that address to get her things back.
When she visits the house, Mrs. Dorling behaves strangely and does not welcome her. The girl feels uncomfortable and leaves.
Later, she returns again and meets Mrs. Dorling’s daughter. She sees all her family’s belongings in the house, but they are used in a careless way.
The girl realizes that those things no longer have meaning without her family. She decides to forget the address and move on in life.
